i love pavement and i love this song. speaking of which, the Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks show Tuesday night @ Bowery Ballroom was amazing. SM was tight as usual..he’s really become quite a guitar player. But as a songwriter, he’s always been near the top of my list. I always make a point to see him when he comes to NY. I was also really impressed with opening act John Vanderslice, who I wasn’t particularly familiar with, but he was really good as well. For his final song, “Nikki Oh Nikki,” John came down into the middle of the crowd and played unplugged with his band, while dancing around in a circle. It was awesome.
